Special Recognition
We learn each year from our experiences and have grown as an Organization, Coaches
and Parents. We have focused our winter months from the first Friday of November
through the end of March on education of our entire Team and their Families. We all see
the difference in the quality of baseball that our boys are playing when you compare
them to those who have not played all winter. You can see the difference in Our Parents
after learning the game of Baseball all winter compared to the Parents who just go to
fields and watch their boys play. WELCOME to the Magic...
We would like to say Than You to the Manchester Board of Education and the Staff
and the Township of Manchester for the opportunity that they have given us and our
boys to use the Manchester Middle School and the Township fields as our home field
not only this year but for the last 6 years.
We say Thank You to all the umpires for taking care of our umpiring needs for this
season and for years to come.
We would like to extend a Special Thank You, from Our Boys and Our entire
Coaching Staff to Our Parents, Our Sponsors, and to All Our Advertisers who helped
make this Year Book the Best to be published in the last six years. From all of us at
The Manchester Magic, we say, Thank You, We could not have done it without YOU.
I personally ask each of you, please use the services or buy the products that
Our Advertisers provide to their community.

In The Beginning

Manchester Magic Baseball was founded in April 1999 and took the field for the fist time on August 17th. We grew from a dream, to a baseball team, to a 501 (c) (3) corporation, to a web-site and soon to our own, Magic Sports and Health Complex.
In December 2000 we launched our website, www.magicbaseball.com, if you haven’t been there you should check it out. If there is any information that you would like to know about Manchester Magic Baseball, inc. or anything else about us you can find it on our web-site. It takes a lot of time to produce this year book each year and I’m proud to say that this is our 6th edition. Our Jay Palumbo has done one heck of a job, Thank You Jay, for helping me…
This season we will play USABL, Sayreville league, East Coast Tournament Baseball Competitions, Dave Gallagher Baseball League with our 12’s, and Triple Crown Baseball Academy has been our winter training home this past year.
This year our 12U team is heading to Cooperstown Dreams Park in Cooperstown, New York, this August 21st, 2005, for our second year. Lou has a great website that you can check out at, www.cooperstowndreamspark.com. It will be a time in their life that they will always remember and cherish, being there with there friends and telling great stories of their week together.
Our goal is to find and to develop a team of special boys that want to learn to play the game of baseball so that they will be competitive whether they are playing with the Magic… or any other team. A special player comes out of town ball searching for a higher level of competition and they will find it in these teams that specialize in travel baseball. To reach the goal that we chase it takes a commitment to the game by not only the players but by coaches and whole families who are willing to dedicate 12 months of the year to the game of baseball. These teams constantly change because of the time that is involved and boys come and go as the level of play continues to create more competitions within the team. Welcome to the life of travel tournament baseball.
We educate our players, coaches and our parents like no other organization of its kind in the area. That’s what is really needed in sports of all types today starting at the recreational level. It’s great that there are so many individuals willing to help but it is our responsibility to educator those who teach our children, which over time will increase the level of play. Our boys will learn to out think the other team, learn game situations and practice techniques and skills of the game of baseball. We will teach leadership on and off the field and create an organization where Sportsmanship leads the way.
As with ever Team time together on and off the field prepares them for the times ahead.
Together they will accomplish things that will surprise everyone. As weeks and months go by the Team becomes a well oiled machine, they will play the game at a level that will exceed each of their own ability and together they are Magic…

Baseball is Our National past time since the early 1800’s, Great players have changed the game in their day. You can still hear the cheers from the crowd that lined the base lines from day’s gone bye, where the game brought out young and old alike, and entire towns came to be part of it.
There’s a strange Greatness to this game of Baseball that will allow it to live on forever, boys that play the game Never grow old. It must be Magic…
To those Great Players who we still salute for their accomplishments we want you to know you will never be forgotten, Cy Young, Satchel Page, Shoeless Joe Jackson, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jackie Robinson, Mickey Mantel, Roger Maris, Joe DiMaggio, Pete Rose, Reggie Jackson, Don Mattingly, Roger Clemens, Randy Johnson and all the Great Players of the past and the present, we say Thank You…

Will we know the next Great name that will come along and change the game in our day, where Children 100 years from now will sit around and tell their story from the year of 2005. It’s Baseball, it’s the game that we Love, the game that we play, it’s Our national Past time.
May GOD keep us all safe, to play the game another day..

The Magic Sports & Health Complex
                                               Atlantic County, New Jersey

Games and sports of all types have fascinated man since nearly the beginning of time.
These tests of strength and skill have carried on from the glorious contests in the
Coliseum to the courtyards of Kings to the Astroturf of today's stadiums. The venue has
changed over time, but the tales of great competitions and contests in sport live on.

In all these stories there is a consistent theme: man's journey and struggle to become (at
least for one moment in time) the best he can be at a game or challenge. Today's sports
enthusiasts continue to find inspiration in these tales that chronicle athletic successes in
nation with sport has not. In fact, bigger and better venues continue to be developed to
meet our modern sports needs.

Today a new story is being written that combines these important lessons of history
with a vision for the future. Think about providing a site where athletes - novice or
professional - can find an answer to all their sports needs: a site for expert training, a
multi-faceted venue for competition, and a haven for recuperation. Add to that dream,
top quality facilities, a trained and caring staff, and a perfect location. But this is not
only a dream - it is the REALITY of Magic Sports & Health Complex in Atlantic
County, New Jersey.

Magic Sports will provide quality multi-season facilities for today's bigger, better and
more demanding sports enthusiasts of all ages. Located on 123 acres just outside
Atlantic City, this $25 million dollar state-of-the-art multi-sport facility will offer over
150,000 square feet of indoor playing space with year-round training opportunities for
basketball, baseball, football, soccer, softball, volleyball, field hockey, roller hockey and
more. Outside facilities will include fields for soccer/football/lacrosse/field hockey/baseball/
softball, a stadium field for multiple sports, basketball courts, a swimming pool, and a
professionally designed artificial turf field capable of being used by special populations (e.g.,
disabled athletes).

Programming at Magic Sports will focus on the following:
- Sport Education and Instruction (including Sport Specific Training) for Individuals
and Groups
- Indoor and Outdoor Camps, Leagues and Tournaments
- Wellness, Health Care and Related Medical Services

A variety of residential and day camps and clinics will be offered at beginner, intermediate
and advanced levels focusing on sport education and development of sport skills. Leagues and
tournaments in multiple sports targeting a full range of skill and age levels will be available at Magic
Sports Complex facilities. Sports specific training and instructional sessions to develop efficient
movement patterns as well as skills specific to the individual's sport(s) of choice will be provided
in both one-on-one and group sessions. Staffing for all program areas will present athletes training
and/or playing at the Magic Sports Complex the opportunity to work with skilled professionals who rely
upon a variety of personal sport experiences as they address a full range of client's athletic
goals. All of Magic Sports' services will be inclusive of the young and not-so-young ,
skilled and less skilled, male and female, and professional or novice, making this facility
a welcoming home for all sport and fitness dreamers.

Do you remember the hometown feel of Main Street America where Mom and Pop stores
offering a variety of individual products to their communities lined the streets? Can you
imagine the convenience of today's shopping malls where huge department stores adjoin
small specialty shops to provide nearly every service/product possible? Combine those
concepts together into a visionary sports and wellness service Super Store of sorts where
athletes, young and not-so-young, fill the fields and venues in search of their dreams.
Envision this facility packed with athletes of all levels struggling to find ways to push
beyond their limits to live their personal stories of competition and challenge.

The time is right for the Magic Sports & Health Complex. The dream becomes a reality
at the Magic Sports & Health Complex. MAGIC SPORTS & HEALTH IS THE VISION
OF THE FUTURE. See it. Be a part of it. Live it!

From around the world, we anticipate the challenge to "Let the Games begin." From the
Midwest we are ready to hear, "Gentlemen, start your engines." From ballparks around
the U.S. we welcome the challenge to "Play Ball!" Now Atlantic County, New Jersey we
invite you to "Believe in the Magic." Please join with us to create the Magic Sports & Health
Complex, where sports dreams and physical fitness do come true!

CHANGE YOUR GAME FOREVER!
